LONDON - August 27th 2025 - Runna, the world’s top rated running coaching app, has launched Races by Runna in public beta. Races by Runna is a new race discovery platform that makes searching for your next race more intuitive and faster than ever before.
The number of unique race events on Strava increased nearly 70% in 2024 compared to the year prior - evidence that more and more runners are signing up for races. Yet finding the right one can be convoluted and time consuming. Races by Runna will bring endless tabs and search engines to an end. Now available as a public beta, Races by Runna will continue to evolve with future investment and expansion to the race database.
With a vast database of races worldwide and numerous filters that streamline your search, Races by Runna is a separate platform to the Runna app - designed to be a hassle-free race discovery experience and standalone search engine.
Races by Runna helps runners cut through the noise and find races that genuinely fit their goals, schedule and preferences, and syncs seamlessly with personalised Runna training plans. As the platform expands, there will soon be over tens of thousands of discoverable races and events in multiple countries worldwide with more growth planned beyond that to build the biggest database in the world.
Races by Runna will be working with the biggest and best in the industry to bring this product to life - from the leading race partners such as Atlanta Track Club and Motiv Sports to integrating with leading race booking platforms such as Let’s Do This.
- Building the highest quality and largest race database in the world: whether it’s a first 5K, targeting a new half marathon PB, or lining up a big trail ultra, runners will be able to find a race that fits - in any location in the world with one of the highest quality databases of races.
- Filters that actually make sense: Search by distance, temperature, terrain, elevation, location, temperature, or even niche tags like “dog-friendly” or ”night run”.
- Making searching for your next race work for you: Instead of bouncing between websites, runners will be able to access thousands of events in one place, filtered by what really matters.
- Seamlessly sync to a personalised plan: once a race is selected, instantly build a personalised Runna training plan around it - a major step in Runna’s mission to simplify and personalise every part of a runner’s journey.
B Races, Fully Integrated
Races by Runna builds on Runna’s intelligent B-Race planning, letting runners add secondary races to complement A-race performance. B-Races and Races by Runna are seamlessly integrated with training plans, and plans are automatically adjusted for the right balance of workouts, recovery, and tapering - helping runners train better, and giving them the tools to race better too.
Dom Maskell, CEO, Runna commented: “Runna exists to make running more accessible, effective and enjoyable for everyone. We’ve solved how to get into running and how to train for a race, but the problem we heard time and again from our community was how to find the right race - be it reaching their next milestone, finding a B race or going for their next PB. We realised that we were well positioned to build the world’s most comprehensive race discovery platform and it’s been a true labour of love from our team. Having Strava alongside us will help further strengthen our credibility in this field.”
